Student growth in progress

From foundations to admissions portfolio

Admissions Outcomes and Growth Stories

We show outcomes, but also the growth from foundations to mature portfolio work.

Architecture portfolio success story
Portfolio excerpt
Admission case

Student: E. Chen

Year: 2028

School: RISD

Major: Architecture / Spatial Design

Starting point and breakthrough

From technical drawing to a portfolio about space, community, and personal observation.

Planning approach and growth

The student had strong drawing skills but scattered work. Through a community-space theme, she built a coherent portfolio narrative.

The center made each step understandable for us, and our child finally knew why she was making each piece.
Transportation design portfolio story

Admission case

Student: M. Li

Year: 2027

School: ArtCenter

Major: Transportation Design

Starting point and breakthrough

Turned a love of cars into research, drawing, and a complete design process.

Planning approach and growth

He began by copying cars. Training helped him design from users, contexts, and function with clear sketches and final presentations.

We used to think he just liked drawing cars. Now we see a real professional pathway.
Fashion design portfolio success story
Portfolio excerpt
Admission case

Student: S. Wang

Year: 2028

School: Parsons

Major: Fashion Design

Starting point and breakthrough

Built a fashion portfolio connecting materials, body studies, and cultural themes.

Planning approach and growth

She had fashion interest but no project method. Coaching shaped research boards, fabric experiments, figure studies, and a final series.

Every progress review was specific. We could see her becoming more mature step by step.

Meet Founder Jing Renkang

Founder Jing Renkang guides middle and high school students through foundational art training, major exploration, and portfolio-based applications with a clear, personal, and growth-centered approach.

A strong portfolio does not disguise a student as someone else. It organizes real interests, skills, and thinking into a story admissions teams can understand.

What Families Say

What we needed most was clarity. The center connected applications, portfolio work, and our child's interests.
